Ingredients

  • Kovakkai (Ivy gourd) - 20 Nos.
    Sambar Powder - 3 – 4 tspns.
    Salt - To taste
    Coconut/Refined Oil - As required to fry the Kovakkai

Step 1

Clean, Wash and cut the Kovakkai (Ivy gourd) in round shape (as shown in above picture).

Add Sambar Powder and Salt into the Kovakkai pieces and mix it well and keep it aside to coat the masala on the pieces properly.

Heat Oil in a frying pan/Cheenachatty. Then put the masala (prepared with Sambar Powder and Salt) coated Kovakkai (Ivy gourd) pieces into the hot Oil and stir it occasionally.

Step 4 Kovakkai (Ivy Gourd) Fry Recipe

Step 4

When the colour of Kovakkai pieces turns into brown, take the pieces out from the frying pan/Cheenachatty (by using a Sieve) and keep them in a plate and serve
