Step 1

For preparing lady fish noodle soup, take a vessel and boil water with lady fish, lemon grass and fish sauce. Allow the fish to cook and allow it to cool.

Step 2

Remove all the bones and shred it. Strain and keep the stock aside.

Step 3

Blend ginger, lemon juice, onions, garlic and red chillies to a smooth paste.

Step 4

Heat ground nut oil in a vessel and saute the paste until a nice smell comes.

Step 5

Add the fish pieces, mix well and remove it from the flame.

Step 6

In another vessel, mix in fish stock, coconut milk, rice flour, pepper powder, salt, a little water, bamboo shoots and gram flour. Allow the mixture to boil stirring it continuously to avoid lumps. Let the bamboo shoots become tender.

Step 7

Then add in the lady fish mixture and noodles. Allow it to boil and remove it from the flame.

Step 8

Lady fish noodle soup is ready. Serve hot.
