Step 1

Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.

Step 2

Add green chillies, turmeric powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and soaked chick pea. Saute for 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add chopped cabbage, boiled peas and potato, jaggery and required salt. Mix well.

Step 4

Cook the cabbage with a covered lid in medium flame for 7 minutes. Stir in between.

Step 5

Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves.

Step 6

Typical Maharashtrian kobichi bhaji is ready. Serve hot with rotis.
