Mix well together butter and powdered sugar.
Add the egg and beat the whole mixture very well.
Add maida and powdered groundnuts and mix well.
Add 1/4 cup of water and baking soda and mix well again.
Make small balls off the above mixture.
Flatten the balls a bit and place them on a baking tray.
Bake them in an oven heated upto 375 degree F, till they turn golden brown in colour.
