Ingredients

Step 1

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 2

Splutter mustard seeds.

Step 3

Add cloves and curry leaves.

Step 4

Add onion and tomato and saute for a few mins.

Step 5

When the color changes, add ginger and garlic paste and saute, till the raw smell goes away.

Step 6

Add the chicken pieces along with coriander, chilly, turmeric and garam masala powders.

Step 7

Mix well and stir for few mins.

Step 8

Add thin coconut milk.

Step 9

Add water as required and salt to taste.

Step 10

When chicken is fully cooked, add thick coconut milk and allow it to simmer for a few mins.

Step 11

:- Serve hot with chappathi, porotta, idiyappam.

I saw your recipe on here and was inspired to cook a kerala style chicken curry/fry and it came out so well :) Instead of chilli powder, I added two chopped green chillies and also added some red wine which truly enhanced the taste!!! Thanks for sharing - my husband loved it too!
