Step 1

First prepare a stiff dough using maida, 1 tbsp oil and required salt. Keep the dough aside.

Step 2

For preparing filling, heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds, onion, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves,coriander powder, garam masala, peas and required salt. Cook for few minutes.

Step 3

Divide the dough into equal sized small balls.

Step 4

Roll out each ball into a round of 3 inches.

Step 5

Place 2 tsp of filling on one half of the round.

Step 6

Wet the sides with fingers and fold over. Press to seal.

Step 7

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry mattar karanjis in marati style, till golden brown in color.

Step 8

A very popular Maharashtrian recipe, mattar karanjis in marati style is ready. Serve hot.
