In a electric rice cooker, take oil and ghee.
Close the lid and set ur rice cooker to cook and wait until the oil-ghee gets heated and the cooker setting comes to warm.
Put the lid aside and add cloves, bay leaves, cardamom powder, cinnamon stick, fennel seeds and saute for 1 minute until nice aroma comes.
Add onions and green chillies and change the cooker setting to cook.
Close it with lid and wait until the cooker setting turns to warm.
Add chopped methi leaves, ginger-garlic paste and stir well.
Turn the setting to cook, close the lid and cook until it turns to warm.
:- Once the methi is cooked, u will notice a nice aroma out of the combination of methi, spices and gingergarlic paste.
Add vegetables and stir well.
Change the setting to cook, close the lid and cook until cooker turns to warm.
Add rice and salt and stir well.
Add water and lime juice.
Close the lid, change the setting to cook and cook until done.
:- U can cook this in a heavy bottomed pan or pressure cooker. But i prefer electric rice cooker to cut down on oil and ghee.
