Ingredients

  • ragi 2 cup
    colam 2 cup
    idly rice 4 cup
    urad dal 1 1/2 cup
    salt to taste

soak the ragi, colam, idly rice and urad dal for 3 hours in water

grind it by adding water in grinder and allow to get fermented

once it get ferment, add salt, mix well and pour it in idly steamer and cook it for 15 minutes

once it get cooked remove from steamer. now millet idly is ready, serve with chutney sambar

Looks like a healthy option , but am lost - what is colam in tamizh ? did you mean kollu (horse gram), can you provide a link to image/wikipedia page etc. ? need to know what it is to buy it.
