Directions

Step 1

Follow the method of making the batter and the idlis from the recipe of plain idlis.

Step 2

Make a liquid paste of maida and add red color to it.

Step 3

Crush semiya/vermicelli and keep it aside.

Step 4

Dip the small idlis in the maida batter.

Step 5

Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 6

Roll/cover the idlis in the vermicelli and fry them for 2 minutes.

Step 7

:- Serve hot with tea/coffee.
:- Makes 250-300 Mini Idlis (of size of Re. 1 coin)
