Mint Coriander Chutney

Mint and coriander is one of the most popular combinations for a chutney recipe. we usuall used to prepare this chutney as dip but i prepared this chutney for rice

  • in a pan heat the oil and fry the cumin seed and coriander seed
  • add urad dal and bengal gram and roast it
  • now add coriander and mint leaves and fry it
  • in another pan heat the oil and fry the onion, ginger and garlic for 5 minutes
  • add red chili and green chili and mix it
  • add tomato, salt and tamarind and mix well and allow to fry for 3 minutes
  • now add grated coconut and mix well, switch off the flame and allow to cool
  • add everything in jar and grind it
  • heat the oil and temper the mustard and curry leaves and transfer into the chutney. now coriander and mint chutney is ready. serve with rice
