Step 1

For making Broccoli-Green peas thoran:
1)Clean broccoli and cut it into medium size slices.

Step 2

Clean green peas(frozen, fresh) too.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non-stick or thick bottomed pan.

Step 4

Splutter mustard seeds.

Step 5

Add green chillies and stir it for sometime.

Step 6

Add onion, curry leaves, garlic and saute.

Step 7

Add turmeric and salt and stir well.

Step 8

Add half cup of water.

Step 9

Add green peas, broccoli and grated coconut and stir well.

Step 10

:- If there is no water left, add a little more water.

Step 11

Close the pan and cook well on a low flame.

Step 12

Stir in between and check the level of salt.

Step 13

:- Serve hot with rice.

Step 14

:- For Carrot & cabbage thoran:
1)Follow the same method above, but do not add much water, just sprinkle some water.

Step 15

:- For Cheera & raw banana thoran:
1)Follow the same method above. First add banana to the sauted items and then cook it for some time, then add cheera. Not much water is required.

Step 16

:- You can use any other combinations of 2 or more veg which are left over and make tasty thorans.
