Step 1

Fry rava, till very light brown.

Step 2

Heat cooking oil in a pan.

Step 3

Add mustard seeds and when they crackle, add curry leaves.

Step 4

Add chopped beans, carrot, onion and ginger.

Step 5

Cook for 5 mins, till the beans and carrot get cooked.

Step 6

Add water and allow it to boil.

Step 7

Add salt and stir well.

Step 8

When it starts to boil, add rava.

Step 9

Stir well and remove from fire.

i make veg upama regularly at home. But my recipe is bit different.I also add cauliflower to this upama and i fry all vegetables seperately before adding them to upama.fried gobi tastes mmmm...

Yes, you are right. Green chillies are defn missing. Let`s add them, and this recipe will be tastier. Thnx

Hi all, very good and easy b`fast and snack, try adding a pinch of turmeric , roast few cashew nuts and try the preparation with ghee instead of oil or also to make it really rich(alternatively you can try using ghee 1/4 cup for this amount of sooji to fry). non vegies can put a small maggi chicken cube to give that chicken flavour......in india , bangalore we call this final dish as KHAARA BATH!!
