Step 1

For preparing moong dal pancakes, first take a bowl, add enough water and soak green gram dal in it overnight.

Step 2

Next day, drain out the water and grind with dry red chilies, green chilies, asafoetida and cumin seeds.

Step 3

Add water only if required to achieve a batter like consistency.

Step 4

Add ginger, coriander leaves and required salt.

Step 5

Heat a pan, smear with oil, and pour a ladle full of batter into the hot pan. With the ladle spread out the batter in a circular shape.

Step 6

Drizzle oil on the pancake and turn upside down. Cook till both sides are golden in color.

Step 7

Moong dal pancakes, a tasty and nutritious lunch for your kids is ready. Serve with chutney.
