Step 1

With a knife, peel the skin off the drumsticks. Wash them and cut them into finger length pieces. Cut them across and keep aside.

Step 2

Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt to the grated coconut and mix them well. Keep this aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 4

Add mustard seeds and when they crackle, add the dry red chillies.

Step 5

Add small onions and squash the baby onions, just to make them out of shape.

Step 6

Once the onions turn into golden brown, add the cut drumsticks.

Step 7

Add 1/2 cup water along with salt and close the pan.

Step 8

Allow the drumsticks to get cooked(approx 10-12 mins, till the entire water is vapourized).

Step 9

Add the grated coconut mixture to this.

Step 10

Saute, till the raw smell of turmeric is gone.

Step 11

:- Serve hot with lunch or dinner.
