Step 1

Soak peas overnight.

Step 2

Place peas, ginger, garlic, onion, chillies, tomato, coriander powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, water and salt in a pressure cooker.

Step 3

Pressure cook upto 7 - 8 whistles or about 10 mins.

Step 4

Allow it to cool for a while.

Step 5

Open the cooker and place it on fire.

Step 6

Add coconut milk, cardamom powder and cloves powder.

Step 7

Add water, if needed.

Step 8

Allow it to boil.

Step 9

Add curry leaves and coconut oil.

Step 10

:- Serve hot with appam, dosa, chappathi etc.
