Step 1

For preparing nadan parippu vada, soak dal in water.

Step 2

Just give a pulse in blender. Do not add water in it.

Step 3

Pour dal into a vessel. Add onion, dry chillies, green chilies, fennel seeds, curry leaves, coriander and salt. Mix well.

Step 4

Heat oil in pan(enough to dip the vada and fry).

Step 5

Wet hands and make balls out of mixture. Slightly press with hands and fry it in oil.

Step 6

It should turn dark color.

Step 7

Nadan parippu vada is ready.

This is exactly what we used to have in thattukada - delicious. Perumjeerakam made all the difference.
