Step 1

For preparing Nadan Theeyal With Potato, heat a kadai and add oil.

Step 2

Add potato and onion pieces and saute well. Add some water.

Step 3

Cook the potato and onion pieces on low flame with a closed lid.

Step 4

Take another frying pan and fry the grated coconut, coriander seeds and red chillies, till brown.

Step 5

Make a thick paste by grinding all the fried ingredients (use a little water).

Step 6

Add the ground coconut paste to the cooked potato.

Step 7

Pour 1 cup water and add salt, then stir it well.

Step 8

Heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour over Nadan Theeyal With Potato curry.

Step 9

Cook for 10 minutes on low flame till the gravy thickens.
