Step 1

Wash and soak rice for 20 mins. Allow it to drain.

Step 2

Heat oil in a cooker or a pan.

Step 3

Season the crushed spices.

Step 4

Add onion and fry, till it becomes golden brown.

Step 5

Add peas, tomato, green chillies, mint and coriander leaves and fry, till it becomes soft.

Step 6

Add rice and saute for 2 - 3 mins.

Step 7

Add 3 cups of water and salt.

Step 8

Pressure cook upto 1 whistle or shift the contents to the microwave container and cook it in full power for 10 - 15 mins.

hello there,hope u can advice me on how to cook without pressure cooker.since i may need to cook in a bigger quantity...thanks.

very good recipe.somebody mentioned that ,it is not said where to add peas.we can see it in the 5 th step

The drafting of the recipe is not good.The recipe`s name says peas pulao and in the prep method,adding of peas is not mentioned...which makes it incomplete....adding carrots will add some colour and taste to the pulao.
