Marinate chicken with the ingredients given for marination and keep aside for atleast 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
Add onion and saute, till they turn light brown in colour.
Add ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, coriander powder and chilli powder and saute for a minute.
Add tomatoes and cook, till they become soft.
Add chicken pieces and saute for a minute.
Add 1/2 cup of water and salt. (No water required for boneless chicken)
Close the pressure cooker and keep the flame on high.
When the first long whistle comes, reduce the flame to medium low and cook for 5 mins. (If you are using boneless chicken reduce cooking time to 3 minutes)
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
I tried this recipe. It was very good. I mixed the masalas and tomatoes at the same time...thanks for the recipe!
I like this curry very much..Even my husband also....its a super recipe....excellent.....
good recipe.My husband loved it.Thanks a lot.
I have tried this recipe about 6 times now & every time it has come out very well!It has the typical kerala chicken curry taste.I always cook the chicken in a pan & not in the pressure cooker.Anyway thanks for the recipe.
Sorry to say...It was a total disappointment. Nothing special....
this is a tasty recipe and easy to cook for bachelors... we all enjoyed it ...

This recipe was excellent, thank-you for posting it. I am going to make it again and soon, which shows just how popular it was at my home :)
I am an experienced cook and I like using the pressure cooker - I have found out it is convenient, quick and when used correctly food comes out tender and flavorful. I am always looking for good recipes for the pressure cooker -and this one hits the mark.
Wow...great recipe. Did not expect it to taste so good!!
This recipe is really simple to make and very tasty. It`s written very well. The chicken cooks perfectly if u follow the instructions given in the recipe.
This is the easiest chicken curry I ever made. And it tastes so good. Chicken does not dissolve when cooked in a pressure cooker if too much water is not added and if the cooking time in the recipe is followed exactly. I made this curry twice and it came out perfect both times.
Chicken cooks so easily in a pan, hence there is not need to cook chicken in a pressure cooker. By cooking it in the Cooker, the Chicken will not be tender to eat and will simply dissolve making it tasteless.
I never thought a chicken curry so easy to make will be so delicious! My family loved it. Thank you for the recipe.
