Grind coconut,cloves,cardamom andonion in a mixer.
Heat oil in a kadai fry ground coconut,chilly powder,coriander powder and turmeric powder for 2 minutes.
Fry until coconut becomes golden brown.
Grind in a mixer and keep aside.
Heat oil in another kadai add mustard seeds.When mustards splutters add red chilly saute for a minute.
Add onions and green chilly saute for 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes and saute until it becomes soft.
Add garlic paste to this and saute for 2 minutes.
Add ground mix to this add garam masala and saute for 2 minutes.
Add potato, coconut milk ,salt and water to this and boil for 5 minutes.
Add boiled egg to this and cook until gravy becomes thick
Now potato egg curry is ready to serve.
