Step 1

Wash all dals and paalak.

Step 2

Place them along with ginger, green chillies and 1/2 cup of water in a pressure cooker.

Step 3

Pressure cook approximately for 12 mins.

Step 4

Cool it to room temperature.

Step 5

Grind 1/4 of the above mixture into a coarse form.

Step 6

Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 7

Add crushed garlic.

Step 8

Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Step 9

:- If desired, you can add asafoetida also.

Step 10

Add the dal mix and stir.

Step 11

Slowly add milk.

Step 12

Add paneer pieces and boil it for 1/2 min.

Step 13

:- Serve with rice or rotis. It can be used as a soup too.

d preperation looked very "pheeka", i heated oil, n added some turmeric and chilli powder, i think it improved the look and taste...
