Step 1

In a pan heat the roasted grated coconut and add coriander powder, chilly powder and turmeric powder.

Step 2

Roast for a few minutes and grind finely.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard. Add the onion slices and bittergourd pieces and curry leaves. Saute well.

Step 4

Add the coconut paste and tamarind juice. Cook for 5-10 minutes.

Step 5

Pavakka varutharacha curry is ready.
