Step 1

For preparing pazham nirachathu, peel the banana`s.

Step 2

Make a slit on one side of the banana`s.

Step 3

Heat ghee in a pan and sautT the cashews and keep it aside.

Step 4

In the same ghee sautT the raisins and keep it aside.

Step 5

Toss in the grated coconut and mix well.

Step 6

Add the sugar and mix well. Remove from the flame.

Step 7

Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 8

Mix in the cashews and raisins. Keep it aside.

Step 9

Stuff the slit of the banana with the coconut mixture and keep it aside.

Step 10

Repeat the procedure with the remaining banana.

Step 11

In a bowl mix maida, sugar, water and salt to make a thick batter.

Step 12

Heat oil in a deep frying pan.

Step 13

Dip the plantains in the batter. Fry it in oil on low flame till it becomes cooked and brown in colour.

Step 14

Pazham nirachathu is ready. Serve hot.
