Take maida in a flat bottomed bowl.
Add enough water to make a thick batter.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, salt and food color and mix thoroughly making sure no lumps are formed.
Cut the banana into half.
Then cut them lengthwise into 4 strips.
Heat oil in a wok for deep frying.
Dip the banana strips into the batter and deep fry till done.:- Let them not change color too much. Remove when they start turning golden brown.
Serve hot with tea.Tips:-:- you can add 2 sugar free tablets instead of sugar for diabetics and health conscious.Happy Cooking :)
