Directions

Step 1

For prearing Pesara Purnalu, first soak green gram dal in water.

Step 2

Grind green gram dal into a thick batter along with little salt and water.

Step 3

Make idlis using this batter.

Step 4

Once idlis are cooked, grate or crush them.

Step 5

Add grated coconut to it. Keep idli coconut mixture aside.

Step 6

Heat water and sugar and make the sugar syrup to a string consistency.

Step 7

Add the grated mixture of idli and coconut to this and make small sized balls. Keep aside.

Step 8

Soak black gram in water for some time and make a paste of black gram dal and rice flour.

Step 9

Dip the balls in the paste and fry Pesara Purnalu to a golden brown color.
