Ingredients

  • Pura / dove 1/2 kg
    onion 2 no.
    tomato 1 no.
    Mustard 1/2 tsp
    aniseed 2 no.
    broken urad dal 1/2 tsp
    curry leaves 6 no.
    ginger garlic paste 4 tsp
    red chili powder 1 tsp
    turmeric powder 1 tsp
    coriander powder 2 tsp
    salt to taste
    black pepper 2 tsp
    coconut paste 1/2 cup
    coriander leaves to garnish
    bay leaf 2 no.

chop the onion and tomato

heat the oil and ghee in the pan

temper the bay leaf, mustard, broken urad dal and aniseed

Step 4

add onion and curry leaves and saute it for 3 mins

Step 5

add tomato and mix it

Step 6

add ginger garlic paste, mix well until the raw smell comes out

Step 7

add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and mix it

Step 8

add pura /pigeon and mix it

Step 9

allow to cook for 5 mins in medium flame

Step 10

add required water for gravy and allow to cook

Step 11

now add coconut paste and mix well

Step 12

add pepepr and mix it and allow to cook until the pura / pigeon get cooked

Step 13

now pigeon / pravu / pura gravy is ready to serve, garnish with coriander leaves
