Directions

Step 1

Wash the rice, black gram and fenugreek, and soak it for 4 hours.

Step 2

Remove stamens (in Tamil it is called as kallan and kullan) from the plantain flower.

Step 3

Grind the rice, plantain flower, fennel and red chilli.

Step 4

After grinding add salt and turmeric powder to the batter and allow it to ferment for 3 hours.

Step 5

In a kadai heat oil and add the ingredients for seasoning (as listed above), and add it to batter.

Step 6

Then make as dosas, cook well on both sides by adding oil/ghee.

Step 7

Healthy and delicious plantain flower dosas ready.

Step 8

Serve it hot with coconut chutney.
