Step 1

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan.

Step 2

Add black gram, onions, ginger and green chillies and fry, till they turn almost golden brown.

Step 3

Add the mashed potatoes and cook for 2 - 3 mins. Keep it aside.

Step 4

Mix together gram flour or besan and rice flour along with enough water to make a batter.

Step 5

Make small balls off the mashed potatoes.

Step 6

Dip them in the batter and deep fry in hot oil.

Step 7

:- Serve hot.


Good recipe.U can actually avoid the uzhunnuparipp and ginger.And try adding a bit of turmeric powder and garam masala powder to the masala before adding the mashed potatoes...


its very tasty. can be made by adding less rice flour.
