Potato Podimas
Ingredients
- 1 lb Potato
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Asafoetida A small pinch, Kayam
- 6 nos Green chillies
- Ginger minced/grated
- 1/2 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
- 1/2 tsp Red gram Thuvaraparippu
- 1 tsp Bengal gram Kadalaparippu
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 - Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
- Curry leaves A few
- Coriander leaves washed and finely chopped
- 1 no Lemon
- 2 tsp Cooking oil
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Peel skin and mash them and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Fry black gram, red gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida, turmeric powder, curry leaves, red chillies, finely chopped ginger, lemon juice and salt.
- Add the mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Let this cook for a few mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
