Step 1

For preparing prawns dry fry, grind together garlic, dry red chillies, shallots, pepper and a little water to a fine paste.

Step 2

Heat oil in a vessel and splutter mustard seeds. Drop in the curry leaves and sautT the onions till transparent.

Step 3

Add in the paste, tomato, turmeric powder and chilly powder. Saute well.

Step 4

Then add in the prawns, water and salt. Allow it to cook on low flame with the lid.

Step 5

Once the water dries up, garnish with coriander leaves and lime juice.

Step 6

Prawns dry fry is ready. Serve hot with chapatti, bread, rice, etc.
