Step 1

Wash the prawns well.

Step 2

Marinate them with ginger-garlic paste, chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and 1/2 tbsp of garam masala for 30 mins.

Step 3

Fry all the ingredients listed in masala paste without oil for 5 mins and grind it with some water.

Step 4

Add some water into the mixture and let it boil on medium flame for abt 15 mins.

Step 5

:- If the prawns are of small size, 10 mins will be enough.

Step 6

Add the masala paste and a bay leaf after 8 - 9 mins.

Step 7

Boil, until it becomes a gravy but check whether the prawns are cooked.

Step 8

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 9

Add half inch of cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, onion, chillies and saute, till they turn golden in color.

Step 10

Add cooked prawns with the gravy.

Step 11

Fry, until all the gravy is golden brown in color.

Step 12

Add 1/2 tbsp of garam masala powder and some coriander leaves, if needed.

Step 13

:- Serve hot with rice or roti.
