Step 1

For preparing quail vattichathu, pound the green chillies and keep it aside.

Step 2

Heat coconut oil in a vessel and sautT onions, ginger-garlic paste, salt and pounded green chillies for 2 minutes on low flame.

Step 3

Add in turmeric powder and garam masala. Saute it for 1 minute.

Step 4

Toss in the quail, curry leaves and potatoes with required water. Allow it to cook till the water evaporates.

Step 5

Pour in the coconut milk and coriander leaves. Allow the gravy to thicken and remove it from the flame.

Step 6

In another vessel heat coconut oil, sautT the shallots till it becomes a bit brown. Toss it into the quail dry with lime juice and mix it well.

Step 7

Quail vattichathu is ready. Serve hot with chapati.
