Step 1

Mix together rava, maida and sugar in a vessel thoroughly with some water so that the batter is not too watery.

Step 2

Keep it aside for 1/2 an hour.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 4

Pour the batter into the oil as small balls, using a curved ladle(kuzhi karandi).

Step 5

Cook on both sides and remove from oil.

Step 6

:- Each time when we pour the batter into the oil, mix the batter thoroughly.
:- It won`t get spoiled for 5 - 6 days.


Very simple yet a good snack. I added Elachi powder for a nice flavor.


Good recipe.U can try this by adding jaggery syrup instead of sugar.It will be very soft and perfect. Add cardamon powder while mixing batter.

There is no need for that baking soda powder.It will be delicious without it.

nice...i love rava...but do we really veadd b.soda to it? i tried that way n i think it wud ve been better witout it! do let me know is it necesary..or u 4got 2 show in yr recipe or its not needed. Thanx


After make changes only, this will be excellent. I know this recipe. u add 1/4 tsp of baking soda @ cardamam powder, while mixing. Then u prepare and taste. u will say wow......
