Wash and clean toordal.

Cook toor dal for 5 minutes in a cooker,ie 3 whistles.After that put off stove.

When steam gone we can open the cooker and keep aside.

Heat oil in a kadai add mustards.When mustards splutters add cumin seeds and red chilli saute for 2 minutes.

Add green chillies,saute for a minute.

Add coriander powder,chilli powder saute for a minute.

Add garlic flakes and turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes.

Add cooked toordal to this masala add 1/2 cup water and salt boil for 2 minutes,until it becomes thick
