Step 1

For preparing sago vada¦s, soak sago in water for 1 hour. Drain it, put it in a bowl and keep it aside.

Step 2

Cook the potatoes in a pressure cooker with water and a pinch of salt.

Step 3

Drain the water and mash the potatoes with a fork.

Step 4

Mix in the mashed potatoes with the soaked sago.

Step 5

Add in green chillies, chilly powder, turmeric powder, curry leaves, coriander leaves, cashew nuts and salt. Mix it well.

Step 6

Heat oil in a deep frying pan.

Step 7

Shape it in the form of vadas and deep fry it in oil till it becomes crispy on both the sides.

Step 8

Sago vada¦s are ready. Serve hot with chutney.
