Step 1

Sieve both flours together.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a pan.

Step 3

Add flour mixture and roast on low heat till light golden.

Step 4

Keep aside to cool a little, stirring occasionally.

Step 5

Boil water and sugar together and bring the syrup to 2 1/2 thread consistency.

Step 6

Pour this immediately into the flour mixture.

Step 7

Beat well with a large fork till the mixture forms thread like flakes.

Step 8

Pour onto a greased surface or thali and roll to 1" thickness lightly.

Step 9

Sprinkle cardamom seeds and gently press down with your palm.

Step 10

Cool and cut into squares.

Step 11

:- Store in an air tight container.

i dont understand...why such type of recipes are posted...it just look like a besan chakki...aur sohan papdi to ye kisi jamane me bhi nahi lagne wali hai...so agar aapke paas koi acchi recipe ho to post karein warna apne ghar par hi banakar khao..samjhe...

1. when we should milk? 2. what is the measure level of cup. please give the measures in grams. 3. I did`nt get the thread like flakes as in soan papdi. It is like mysore pak only.

karunaafter eating soan papdi you may drink milk and lying in floor and rotating your body the milk is spread over the soan papdi. thanks

The recipe ended in a sweet similar to Mysore Pak. Taste was very good but it was not tasting like Sohan Papdi. For Sohan Papdi, I think quantity of Maida should be more than Gram flour
