Step 1

For preparing shallots dry, heat oil in a vessel and splutter mustard seeds.

Step 2

Saute in the cumin seeds.

Step 3

Add in the tomato paste with chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Saute it for 2 minutes on low flame with curry leaves.

Step 4

Toss in the small onions and mix it well. Allow it to cook on low flame with a closed lid for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Shallots dry is ready. Serve hot as a side dish or with chapatti.
