Step 1

For preparing spicy masala crab curry, heat oil in a large pan and saute the onions until it becomes golden brown.

Step 2

Add in ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes

Step 3

Then add pepper powder, cardamom pods, garam masala, coriander powder, salt, cumin powder and turmeric powder.

Step 4

Then add the green chillies, curry leaves and tomatoes. Saute for 5 minutes on low flame, stirring constantly.

Step 5

Toss in the crabs and mix well. Cover and allow it to cook on low flame.

Step 6

In a small bowl mix in water and coconut milk powder avoiding lumps. Pour it over the crabs.

Step 7

Garnish with coriander leaves and lime juice. Allow it to simmer until the water evaporates and remove it from the flame.

Step 8

Spicy masala crab is ready. Serve hot.
