Step 1

For preparing spinach/palak paneer, first mix spinach leaves with ginger-garlic paste, green chilly paste and some water.

Step 2

Cook the spinach mixture in a pressure cooker for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Blend the spinach paste in a blender to make a thick paste. Keep this aside.

Step 4

Heat butter in a pan and deep fry the paneer cubes till golden brown in color.

Step 5

In the remaining butter, splutter cumin seeds and fry bay leaves.

Step 6

Add chopped onion and fry for a few minutes.

Step 7

Stir in pepper powder, garam masala and required salt.

Step 8

Add fried paneer cubes and spinach paste.

Step 9

Stir in low heat for a few minutes and remove from fire. Spinach/palak paneer, a yummy North Indian dish, is ready.

Step 10

Serve spinach/palak paneer hot with rotis.
