Step 1

For preparing squid nirachathu, clean and cut the squid tentacles finely. Keep the body of the squid.

Step 2

Splutter the mustard in oil.

Step 3

Add in green chillies, red onions, coconut, garlic, curry leaves and turmeric powder. SautT it well.

Step 4

Then add in the chopped squid tentacles and water. Cook till the water evaporates on low flame.

Step 5

Stuff this mixture into the body of the squid and stitch the opening of the squid with a needle and thread.

Step 6

In a bowl mix chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt in some water.

Step 7

Dip the stuffed squid in the above mixture and fry it in hot oil till it becomes crispy.

Step 8

Squid nirachath is ready. Serve immediately. While serving, remove the thread.
