Step 1

For preparing steamed coconut shells, clean the shells well.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions for 5 minutes on low flame. Add in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for some time.

Step 3

Add the coriander powder and cumin seeds. Saute for some time on low flame.

Step 4

Then add the poppy seeds, sesame seeds and grated coconut. Saute for 1 minute. Allow it to cool and then grind the spices with a little water to make a coarse paste.

Step 5

Mix the shredded beef, tomato, curry leaves, coriander leaves, peanuts, chilly powder and salt into the spice paste. Allow the water to evaporate if there is water.

Step 6

Stuff each coconut shell with the beef mixture.

Step 7

Steam it for 5 minutes and remove it.

Step 8

Steamed coconut shells are ready. Remove the mixture from the shell and serve hot with rice as a side dish.
