Step 1

For preparing stuffed crispy squid, clean the squid and keep the tentacles. Wash the squid and the tentacles. Finely chop the tentacles only.

Step 2

In a bowl mix in the mashed potatoes, chopped tentacles, cumin powder, salt, lemon zest, pepper powder, onion, coriander leaves and garlic.

Step 3

Stuff the squids body with the above mixture.

Step 4

Steam the stuffed squids in an idly vessel till it cooks and keep it aside to cool.

Step 5

In another bowl mix maida, gram flour, chilly powder, grated coconut, turmeric powder, baking powder, lemon juice and salt with required water to make a thick batter. Keep it aside

Step 6

Heat coconut oil in a deep frying pan.

Step 7

Dip each steamed squid into the batter and deep fry it till the covering becomes crispy.

Step 8

Stuffed crispy squid is ready. Serve hot as a starter.
