Step 1

Soak black gram dal for 4 hours.

Step 2

Grind it finely by mixing water.

Step 3

Mix rice flour or all purpose flour, semolina and salt.

Step 4

Add water or buttermilk to get the desired batter consistency.

Step 5

Add finely cut chillies, coriander leaves and onions and mix well.

Step 6

Make dosas on the non stick tawa or griddle.

Easiest way to make a quick Dosa for nasta for hard-pressed persons in USA. Now on I will try to improve upon these basic recipes by trying variations.
