Step 1

For preparing tapioca mukki varuthathu, cook tapioca in hot water and drain it.

Step 2

Slice the tapioca in 2 inch pieces. Keep it aside.

Step 3

In a bowl, mix in rice flour, basen flour, asafoetida, hot oil, salt, soda powder, curry leaves, chilly powder with a little water to make a batter.

Step 4

Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the tapioca pieces in the batter and fry it.

Step 5

Tapioca mukki varuthath is ready. Serve with tomato sauce or chutney.
