Heat oil in a heavy bottom vessel or in a clay pot.splutter mustard seed and fenugreek seed.Add crushed garlic cloves,ginger and curry leaves.saute for 10-15 seconds on low flame.

Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies.cover and cook for 7-8 minutes in medium flame.

Pour tamarind water and cook the tomatoes till it appears slightly mashed.

Then add red chilly powder,turmeric powder and salt.Combine well and cook till 75% of water evaporates.Turn off heat and cool.
