Roast the rava in a pan on low flame for one minute and keep it aside.

Heat the milk in a saucepan along with water, salt and cardamom powder.

Step 3

When it starts to boil, add sugar and mix well. Then add the roasted rava slowly and stir well, and allows to boil. Switch off the flame.

Heat ghee in a pan, add the chopped shallots and fry it. Then fry the cashews, raisins and pour this over the prepared Kanji.

Thari Kachiyath / Thari Kanji is ready to serve. Serve hot.
