Step 1

For preparing thengapal irachi curry, marinate the mutton/beef in garlic, green chillies, ginger, coriander, chilly powder and turmeric.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry onion. Add the meat pieces in it and fry well.

Step 3

Add salt and 2nd coconut milk and cook the meat.

Step 4

Add water if required.

Step 5

When done, add the 1st milk and make a thick gravy.

Step 6

Remove from flame, when done.

Step 7

In a kadai, heat 1 tbsp oil. Splutter the dry chillies and curry leaves.

Step 8

Pour over the gravy.

Step 9

Thengapal irachi curry is ready.
