Step 1

For preparing thick coconut mussel curry, heat oil in a vessel and saute onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, salt and curry leaves till it becomes transparent.

Step 2

Add in the chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and garam masala.

Step 3

Add in the mussels and tamarind paste. Allow it to cook.

Step 4

In a bowl mix in coconut milk powder with a little water to make a thick lump free paste.

Step 5

Once the mussels are done, pour in the coconut paste and mix well.

Step 6

Allow it to simmer till the gravy becomes thick.

Step 7

Thick coconut mussel curry is ready. Serve hot.
