Step 1

Heat 3 tbsp of ghee in a pan.

Step 2

Fry red chillies, cumin, fenugreek, black pepper, coriander seeds and grated coconut to golden brown and blend them to a fine paste.

Step 3

Clean the chicken and cut into pieces.

Step 4

Marinate the chicken with the above mixture along with salt for 1/2 an hour.

Step 5

Heat ghee in a pan.

Step 6

Fry chopped onions followed by garlic pieces until golden brown and add little garam masala to it.

Step 7

Add the chicken pieces along with coconut milk and cook until it is done.

Step 8

Sprinkle the lemon juice before serving.


Why do people put ingredients measured by grams... why don`t you put in terms of tsp or tbsps. ? Life is much easier that way. For thulu chicken, the quantity of coriander seeds is way more than qty of methi seeds. If u put too much methi, it is bound to become bitter.


hey guyz...plzzzzzzz dont try this recipe...sanjay is full of crap..tulu chicken is a different recipe altogeter..this recipe is nowhere close to that.....Go to u want a tulu chicken recipe. Sorry sanjay dear for being rude but fact is fact...
