Step 1

For preparing tomato dosa, soak urad dal and raw rice separately in water for 10 hours.

Step 2

Soak the fenugreek seeds with the split urad dal.

Step 3

Grind the soaked raw rice, fenugreek seeds, split urad dal, cooked rice, shallots and cooked rice to a fine paste with required water. Pour it in a bowl.

Step 4

Add in curry leaves and salt. Mix well.

Step 5

Heat a little oil in a frying pan and splutter mustard seeds.

Step 6

Toss it in the batter and mix it well.

Step 7

Heat a dosa frying pan. Using a ladle pour the batter on the hot pan and spread it in circles.

Step 8

Place the tomatoes neatly on the top of the dosa and press it with a spatula.

Step 9

Allow it to cook for 2 minutes, flip the dosa and cook the tomato side for 2 minutes on low flame.

Step 10

Drizzle a little oil around the tomato dosa. Repeat the procedure with the remaining batter.

Step 11

Tomato dosa¦s are ready. Serve immediately with chutney.
